High Tide Spills into the Garden with Violin Echoes

20×10 inches, acrylic and paper on board

Ah, back in Tampa, ensconced in the garden and the elegance of it all…. But how to bring summer and fall in Maine to winter and spring here?  A violin, a metal table, an overturned silver goblet, the trees…. Voila, chamber music in the garden…my dream, my hope, my reality!  This has many implications that are both symbolic and “gardenesque!”  The garden polyformative images do convey that sense of peace and quiet that is so satisfying here in the starkness of winter (the oaks lose their leaves in February for a few weeks) and the burgeoning floral explosion of spring that goes on for months! Let the sea at Acadia pour forth its beauty and power into my garden!
