Chairs at Acapulco

Description

22×30 inches, acrylic, ink and watercolor on watercolor paper

When I went to Acapulco with Jill’s Aunt Lois Gruber (as Aunt Ellie had opted out at the last minute), we went to a “beach club” a few miles north. The balustrade was painted in bright colors which had a repeat color pattern. The tablecloths were bright red. The Pacific was magnificent, and our guide took me swimming beyond the breakers. As I dove under the breaking waves I felt every bone snap in my back…! This is the background for this lively paper piece.
